A remake of the first or DC 4?

I think that's because it (and the current gen REmake) was based on the Game Cube versions, rather than being built from the ground up. Not 100% sure on the process there, but it seems like stuff from the PSX era is too old to do a remaster that really looks good. Look at System Shock Enhanced...

Will Jurassic World Help Dino Crisis?

Another E3 has come and gone, and we've got more Resident Evil and no Dino Crisis! I don't really expect anything, but Tokyo Game Show is probably the next best bet to hear something. Surely the Nintendo NX will make it's debut there, who knows what they'll announce. If Nintendo is smart they'll...

    I am new here!

Welcome, and just FYI the games are still available digitally on the PSN store (at least in the US). Both games are $5.99 and will run on the PS3, Vita, and PSP.

What game are you currently playing?

Yeah, the evade/parry system wasn't the simplest. But it works, as far as I can tell. Didn't encounter any bugs that I recall. Now I'm thinking about it & want to play it!

What game are you currently playing?

I need to finish that one. I set it aside because I was having trouble clearing one section, and haven't gone back to it. What I did play seemed good, I didn't understand the poor ratings either.

What game are you currently playing?

Trying to finish off Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain before I get going on too much else. I couldn't resist picking up Xenoblade Chronicles X, though. Started messing around with that today.

Will Jurassic World Help Dino Crisis?

I see they just released a new edition of the N64 game Turok: Dinosaur Hunter for PC on Steam. The graphics look the same to me, I guess it's just got HD textures added to them or something. There's also a game on Steam called ARK: Survival Evolved that seems to feature dinosaurs, and is getting...

Will Jurassic World Help Dino Crisis?

I just saw Jurassic World today, and it's a fun movie. More to the point, it's be a huge financial success, posting the largest global opening of any movie in history. Obviously people still love dinosaurs, but do you think anyone at Capcom is paying attention? Given the current tendency to...

A remake of the first or DC 4?

That's a good point, although I guess it's a case of 1999 game budgets & sales compared to 2014 ones, which is a completely different animal. Regarding Dino Crisis on the PSN, that's one thing I really dislike about the PS4 so far. It seems like they want the new streaming service to replace...

A remake of the first or DC 4?

Those are solid numbers. You'd think it'd be worth a shot for them to see if the interest is still there. Given that Dino Crisis was often said to be "Resident Evil with dinosaurs," I'd think they could use a game like Resident Evil: Revelations as a base to quickly build a new Dino Crisis...

A remake of the first or DC 4?

If they do bring it back, it would pretty much have one shot at success. One of the top execs at Capcom recently said they'll no longer consider sequels for a game that doesn't sell 2 million copies. Not sure what the sales figures on Dino Crisis 1 &2 were, at the time it seemed popular. Of...

    Dino Crisis Reboot

I was so excited when this was rumor broke, but figured it was too good to be true. I held out a bit of hope that it would be announced at Tokyo Game Show, but alas not a peep.

A remake of the first or DC 4?

    Fingers would be great! :D

A remake of the first or DC 4?

I'd love to see either, but I'd want it updated. Fixed camera and stunted movement are complete anachronisms at this point--in my humble opinion. You can be faithful to the core concepts while evolving with the times and technology. I'd use Metal Gear Solid as an example of that. One thing's...
